Best Cities in North Carolina

Raleigh and Charlotte are the two most popular cities in North Carolina. They are perfect for young people, such as students, families planning to grow and for elderly people who are looking to settle down. The downtowns of both Raleigh and Charlotte are vibrant. Filled with many kinds of restaurants, bars, galleries, shopping malls. You name it, you can find it. But if you drive just a few minutes away from the downtown, you will find the beautiful suburban areas surrounded by nature. Greensboro is another city similar to these two. All the cities in NC are multicultural and everyone is welcoming and nice.

Wilmington is one of the most beautiful cities on the Atlantic ocean. If you have a chance, visiting it definitely won’t be a waste of time. Just sitting by the beach will fill you with joy and happiness. Asheville, on the other hand, is one of the best cities in the mountains. Pisgah National Forest and Great Smoky Mountains National Park are a short drive from Asheville. If all of this sounds nice to you, it’s time for you to start planning your long distance move.

Best schools and universities in North Carolina

It’s important to know which schools are the best for your child. Luckily, North Carolina has many of them. Raleigh Charter High School is one of them. A school that looks great and has good teachers. It’s located in Raleigh, so if you are moving to North Carolina to Raleigh, this is a school to go to. It’s a public school.

There are many good private schools. Number one private school is the Cary Academy in Cary. The next on the list has to be Durham Academy. And remember Asheville? The third best private school, Asheville school, is located just there. Make sure you pick the right school and move there. Stick with your decision because frequent moving isn’t good for your child’s mental health.

As far as universities go, you have a lot to choose from. Duke University in Durham has to be the best one. It’s ranked at the 8th place on the list of Best National Universities. The University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill, often referred to as UNC, is the second on our list.  North Carolina State University is one of the more affordable ones and it’s in Raleigh.

But the state has a very diverse economy because of its great availability of hydroelectric power. If you know how to use it, you won’t have to worry. But lately, a lot of people have been moving to North Carolina and starting their own businesses that are doing well. That is as far as bigger cities go. But many of the state’s rural counties have suffered from job loss, rising levels of poverty, and population loss. It’s important to have this in mind if you are moving to North Carolina.
